Revolut's welcome offers are small cash rewards for new personal customers, not deposit-matched broker bonuses. The pattern is consistent across markets: you open your first Revolut personal account through a promotion link, pass identity verification, and complete a short task list before the promotion deadline. In the US version, the qualifying step is a card transaction of at least $1 with your new physical or virtual card before the promotion period ends. The current UK offer pays £20 after a first card purchase of at least £20 made through the Manchester City campaign link, and the EU Primavera Sound campaign pays €20 after a card payment of at least €20 in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, with a separate €10 offer for students in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Portugal. Amounts change by country and campaign, and only one bonus is paid per customer.
Two terms trip people up. First, the new-customer definition is strict: anyone who has ever registered a Revolut personal account with any Revolut entity worldwide is excluded, even if the old account was never used. Second, reversals can cost you the reward. Revolut can withhold or reverse the bonus for fraud or abuse of the promotion, and its earlier sign-up terms also allowed a clawback if the qualifying purchase was refunded or the account was closed quickly.
