Risk warning: Trading carries a high risk of losing money, especially with leveraged products such as CFDs. A bonus does not reduce that risk. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

Checking availability…The catch
The bonus is paid as cash into the new account and can be withdrawn once credited. To qualify, the new money must stay in the account for 90 days from enrollment (market losses do not count against you), and the account must not be closed or restricted at payout. Transfers from Chase or other JPMorgan Chase affiliates do not count toward the tier.
How to claim
- Start the application from the J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing offer page on chase.com by October 21, 2026, so the coupon code is attached to your application.
- Open a General Investment, Traditional IRA or Roth IRA account as your first Self-Directed Investing account.
- Within 45 days of enrollment, move at least $5,000 in cash or securities, or roll over retirement assets, from an institution outside JPMorgan Chase.
- Keep the new money in the account for 90 days from enrollment.
- Receive the cash bonus in the account within 15 days after the 90-day hold is met.

J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing, the online brokerage run by J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and sold through Chase, pays a one-time cash bonus for moving new money into a new account. You must open the account through the offer page by October 21, 2026.
The coupon code is applied automatically when you start the application from that page, and opening an account through a different Chase link does not enroll you. The bonus tier is set on day 45 after enrollment, based on the qualifying new money you added: $5,000 to $24,999 earns $50, $25,000 to $99,999 earns $150, $100,000 to $249,999 earns $325, and $250,000 or more earns $1,000.
Qualifying new money is cash, securities transferred in kind, or retirement assets rolled over from another institution. Money moved from Chase bank accounts or any other JPMorgan Chase affiliate does not count, which rules out the easiest source of funds for existing Chase customers.
The catch is the hold. The new money has to stay in the account for 90 days from enrollment, although market losses are not held against you. The bonus is credited within 15 days after that, so expect to wait about three and a half months.
The top $1,000 tier needs $250,000 in outside assets, so most people will land on the $50 or $150 tier. The offer applies only to the first Self-Directed Investing account opened by the primary holder (General Investment, Traditional IRA or Roth IRA).
UTMA and trust accounts are excluded, you can receive one new-money bonus per 12 months, and the account must be open and unrestricted at payout. Chase may report the bonus to the IRS on Form 1099-MISC, or on Form 1042-S for foreign persons, and you owe any tax on it.
Pros
- +Paid as cash, not locked credit or stock.
- +The entry tier starts at $5,000 of new money.
- +Securities transferred in kind and IRA or 401(k) rollovers count as new money, so you do not have to sell anything.
- +Market losses during the 90-day hold do not reduce the bonus.
- +IRAs qualify as well as taxable brokerage accounts.
Cons
- −The $1,000 top tier needs $250,000 or more in outside assets; most people will get $50 or $150.
- −Money moved from Chase checking or savings does not count.
- −You must start the application from the offer page; other Chase links do not enroll you.
- −One new-money bonus per 12 months, and only on your first Self-Directed Investing account.
- −Enrollment closes on October 21, 2026.
- −Taxable income, which Chase may report on Form 1099-MISC.
