Trading forex and CFDs is legal for individuals in Chile and there is no rule banning broker bonuses, so the promotions Chilean traders see are mostly the standard global offers. What changed with the Fintech Law is the domestic side: intermediaries operating from Chile must now appear in the CMF's registry of financial service providers, which for the first time gives local trading platforms a formal supervisory home.
Foreign brokers serving Chile from abroad are a different case. Opening an account with them is lawful, but they are not CMF-supervised, so the protections you get come entirely from the foreign licence behind the entity that holds your account. The CMF's alert list names platforms that have solicited Chileans without any registration at all; an offer from a name on that list is not worth any bonus attached to it.
Practical checks follow from that. Confirm which regulated entity you are signing with and what its licence covers, make sure peso or dollar deposits and withdrawals clear smoothly, and read the bonus turnover terms in full before committing. A headline number means little if the conditions lock the balance or the withdrawal path is slow.
