There is no rule banning broker bonuses in Colombia, and trading with foreign brokers is not prohibited for individuals. What the SFC does police is solicitation: it has issued repeated public warnings that specific foreign platforms are not supervised by it and hold no authorization to market inside Colombia, alongside administrative orders against illegal fund-raising schemes dressed up as trading.
The practical consequence is that the entity holding your account is everything. A bonus from a broker with a credible foreign licence, such as an FCA, CySEC or ASIC entity, is a normal commercial offer. A bonus from a platform the SFC has already named in a warning is bait, and no turnover math can fix that.
Funding is straightforward in most cases: individual transfers to a personal foreign brokerage account move through banks and authorized intermediaries under Colombia's exchange framework, and cards are widely used. Confirm the withdrawal path in pesos before depositing, and read the bonus turnover terms in full.
